When half of your weekend passes to decide the gateway destination and Monday blues already starts haunting you, is when you go for a days outing. This is what happened to me and I am sure many of you can relate to this situation.

So next time when you guys are in such a situation. STOP AND REALIZE A DAY HAS 24 HOURS. late for your weekend gateway planning and you end up deciding on Saturday morning

So, here is sneak into my 24 hour Amritsar trip-

6 PM

We reached Park Inn by Radisson by Ola outstation. The journey was so comfortable that even after 8Hours of the journey, there was no exhaustion or fatigue. After getting pampered in our suite in the hotel for around an hour we were all set to visit the  Golden Temple, the epitome of divinity.

Note -The Park Inn hotel also provide transit service to the Golden Temple.

7 PM-  Golden Temple: Confluence of spirituality and Enchantress

Visiting Golden temple in the night is altogether a different experience because the artificial lights magnify the aesthetics of this religious site. After offering prayer, we spend around an hour seating on the stairs leading to the sacred pond. This turned into a heavenly experience.

9 PM –  Cultural activities

Near Maharaja Ranjit Singh statue, cultural activities like Gatka, Military parade etc takes place.

So after enjoying this for sometimes, we headed to the Brother’s Dhaba to taste some local delicacy. We ordered Makke Di Roti And Sarso Da saag. Here I tasted the best Sarso Ka saag ever.

10 PM- Let’s go back to the hotel

Now we were tired enough to go back to our hotel and resume the pampering. We skipped dinner because we were not in the condition to eat anything more. So, we took bath and off to the bed.

11.30 PM – That’s all for the day, good night.

8.30 Am- Good morning Amritsar

It’s time for brunch.

9.30 AM – Since we had to visit Jalianwallah bagh which is around 200-300metre away from the Golden Temple, so we decided to visit the temple again to witness its beauty in daylight.

10.30AM – Jallianwallah Bagh – It has a great place in Indian mordern history becuase it had marked the start of the mass movement in the Indian freedom struggle.

11.30 AM  Shopping time

2.30 PM – Beating Retreat

At Wagah-Attari border,  Indian Border Security Force and Pakistan Rangers have been holding border closing ceremony since 1959. You know the excitement level of the people where India and Pakistan involve, so this one-hour event is not different from that. It is high on energy, patriotism and multiple goosebumps.

7 PM – In the last 24 hours, we had explored the culture, architecture, markets, food and ceremonies. Now we are ready to check out from the hotel and Amritsar. That’s all from the Amritsar. Signing Off.
